#HalfTheStory partnered with The Southern Influence to concept and produce the inaugural New York Teen Tech Council Training Day. Hosted at Ideal Glass Studios in New York City, the first-of-its-kind youth leadership event brought together more than 60 teen leaders for a day centered on digital wellness, advocacy and real-world connection.
Building a Movement IRL
TSI worked alongside #HalfTheStory to turn its mission into a high-energy, phone-free experience teens would actually want to be part of. We sourced the venue, handled permitting and consulted on programming, including outreach to powerhouse speakers and mentors like Jeni Britton, who joined the teens for an intimate conversation on leadership, creativity and building meaningful change.
From Concept to Show Day
Led by TSI producer Arielle Olfers alongside production coordinator Deena Ismail, the project brought together a powerhouse collective of creative and production talent. Our team managed crews, vendors, venue coordination, permitting and on-site execution, transforming Ideal Glass Studios with a customized stage, custom-fabricated phone lockers, curated swag and an immersive environment designed for connection.
Designed for Connection
Interactive moments included a standout junk journaling station, screen-free programming and partnerships with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Floura, Poppi and BonBon. The result was a joyful, highly participatory launch experience that equipped young digital wellness advocates to bring meaningful change back to their schools and communities."
